Answered Prayers

Seek your happiness in the LORD and he will give you your hearts’s desire. Give yourself to the LORD, trust in him, and he will help you.

Psalm 37:4-5

What do answered prayers look like in our heart? Do they look like colorful explosions of joy and happiness? It’s those times when you wait on the Lord that you appreciate answered prayers. Then your heart feels like a burst of colorful light that shines out of the darkness.

Don’t worry about anything, but in all your prayers ask God for what you need, always asking him with a thankful heart. And God’s peace, which is far beyond human understanding, will keep your hearts and minds safe in union with Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

Following is a word I received about the above verses.

These verses are actually about keeping your heart and mind safe, kept in my peace. And having a thankful attitude will help you believe for more answers as you go through life. It’s so important to keep in mind that not only do I love you, but that you are accepted and not rejected . When you make a mistake, I don’t put you aside until you repent. I continue to hear you and see you. If you feel isolated from me, it’s because you’re not focused or listening to my voice. So keep seeking me and you’ll get through the mud and step onto dry grassy land.

God cares about your heart and your mind. Your circumstances may not change immediately when you pray, but when you have an attitude of thankfulness when telling God all that is on your heart, you can wait for the circumstances to change in peace, without anxiety.

Worry and anxiety cannot change anything,

but will only cause you unrest and agitation. It can block you from thinking clearly to hear from the Lord and receive a strategy for success.

So believe. God loves you and you are accepted as you continue to follow after Holy Spirit.

What I say is this; let the Spirit direct your lives, and you will not satisfy the desires of the human nature. Galatians 5:16

Pray for whatever is on your heart. Trust that he hears you. Let Him guard your heart and mind while you wait for answers to your prayers.
